Das Buch THE BEATLES – IT WAS 50 YEARS AGO TODAY ist eine Schatztruhe. Zunächst beinhaltet es – wie tausende von anderen BRATLES-Büchern auch – die Geschichte der BEATLES. Spannend sind die 28 Replikate, Darunter viele Eintrittskarten.

Die Fotos im Buch sind größtenteils bekann. Unbekannt für viele ist jedoch eine Aufnahme (auf Seite 43) mit den BEATLES und GENE VINCENT, die im April, Mai 1962 beim ersten STAR-CLUB-Engagement in Hamburg entstanden ist. Die Druckqualität alles Fotos ist hervorragend. Selten sind alte Fotos so gut dargestellt.

Das ist ein empfehlenswertes Buch. Und es ist davon auszugehen, dass es aufgrund der umfangreichen Replikate keinen Nachdruck geben wird.
