Das Buch beinhaltet neun Interviews mit Personen, die zu Beginn der BEATLES-Karriere sehr nah dabei waren (siehe Inhaltsverzeichnis). Und fast alle Gespräche sind sehr interessant, zum einen was geschildert wird und mitunter auch wie berichtet wird. Diesbezüglich sei insbesondere ALLAN WILLIAMS genannt. In dem Interview mit PETE BEST geht es natürlich auch um die Gründe seines Ausscheidens bei den BEATLES. Andere Gesprächspartner informieren über andere Bereich aus der Karriere der BEATLES: TONY BARROW über das Verhältnis zwischen Musiker und Presse, NORMAN SMITH über die Studioarbeit, SID BERNSTEIN über Liveauftritte – um ein paar Beispiele zu nennen.
Aufgrund der einfachen Formulierungen sind fast alle Interviews mit ein wenig Englischkenntnissen gut zu lesen. Und es lohnt sich!
