Pressetext: The Beatles returned to Sweden in 1964, playing four concerts at the Johanneshov Isstadion in Stockholm, two on July 28th and two the following day. This excellent-sounding recording was for broadcast on Swedish TV but neither Ringo’s nor John’s stage mic was working, so all you can hear is what came through Paul’s mic. George and Paul’s vocals, the bass and George’s guitar amp come through loud and clear, but the drums and John’s rhythm guitar sound distant. It does mean you have to make do with just the backing vocals on You Can’t Do That and I Wanna Be Your Man. And that was the last the number they played in the evening concert because fans stormed the stage and the group had to stop the show. The LP also includes several live tracks from earlier in 1964, the highlight being a four-minute medley of all five of their UK hit singles from 1962 and 1963, two of which, Love Me Do and Please Please Me they would never play on stage again.

Pressetext (Übersetzung): Die Beatles kehrten 1964 nach Schweden zurück und spielten vier Konzerte im Johanneshov Isstadion in Stockholm, zwei am 28. Juli und zwei am Tag darauf. Diese hervorragend klingende Aufnahme war für die Ausstrahlung im schwedischen Fernsehen bestimmt, aber weder Ringos noch Johns Bühnenmikrofon funktionierte, so dass man nur hören kann, was durch Pauls Mikrofon kam. Georges und Pauls Gesang, der Bass und Georges Gitarrenverstärker kommen laut und deutlich durch, aber das Schlagzeug und Johns Rhythmusgitarre klingen weit entfernt. Das bedeutet, dass man sich bei You Can’t Do That und I Wanna Be Your Man mit den Backing Vocals begnügen muss. Und das war die letzte Nummer, die sie bei dem Abendkonzert spielten, weil die Fans die Bühne stürmten und die Gruppe die Show abbrechen musste. Die LP enthält auch einige Live-Tracks von früher im Jahr 1964, der Höhepunkt ist ein vierminütiges Medley aller fünf ihrer britischen Hitsingles von 1962 und 1963, von denen sie zwei, Love Me Do und Please Please Me, nie wieder auf der Bühne spielen würden.
